The --quality
--q
parameter adjusts the amount of time spent generating an image. Higher quality settings take longer to process and produce more detailed results. Higher values also mean more GPU minutes are used per job. The quality setting does not affect resolution.
Default and Accepted Values
The default value for --quality
is 1. --quality
only accepts the values .25
, .5
, and 1
for the current model. Larger values are rounded down to 1. --quality
only affects the initial image generation.
Impact of Quality on Output
Higher settings are not always better. Sometimes, lower settings can produce better results, depending on the type of image you are trying to create. Lower settings may be best suited for gestural or abstract appearances. Higher values might improve the appearance of architectural images that benefit from many details. Choose the setting that best matches the image you want to create.
